Baby Boy album

Here is the photos of the baby boy album: The design is the same as the Girl baby album but of course done for a baby boy. Both paper rangers for the boy and girl albums are the Rosies paper ranges bought here in New Zealand from The Warehouse and I really like the paper for the designs and colours but also because of the thickness of the paper. Really nice thick paper!!

I hope that you have liked what you have seen, this one and the Baby girl one and that I have inspired somebody else to make one of these albums.

Thank you for looking and please stop by again for the next post which will be Explosion box's that match these two baby albums. See ya

Baby Albums

Greetings all, I have been very busy making two All Occasions Folio Albums by Kathy Orta for my hairdressers who are both pregnant at the same time. One is having a girl and the other is a boy!! Have had so much fun making them and here are the pictures:

This is the cover of the first one for the little Girl!!
Once opened - this is the first page from the left hand side and the bottle on the flap opens up. Have made space for all the details of the baby's birth that the Mum can complete.

Also a space for the first photo of the little one.
Turn the flap over and there is more space for a photo and a journalling spot as well
Three tags for more photos or even a story or two. I love this style of pockets as its all made in one piece and it allows for various sizes tags. The bottom one is the smallest, the middle one is slightly longer and the top one is about 8" long.
Then from the right hand side the process was repeated - and of course she will always be her parents princess so I had to bring in that as well

This is the center of the album and its 6 pockets that work on a hidden hinge concept, by Kathy Orta of Paper Phenomenon and each pocket you can place a tag or multiple tags.

The back of the 6 pockets - which can be used to place photographs as well.
When you flip the pockets you come across another center piece and this is my favourtie because of the size of the flap. If my memory is correct, I think the measurements are about 10" x 11".
The back side of the big flap - Can hold a big enlargement of possible the whole family together.
Underneath you have another 6 pockets with 6 tag, which also vary from about 3 1/2" to 8" long
Just another view!!

I have photographs of the blue one which I will put up in the next post

Thank you for coming to look

Greetings to all

Greetings to all!! Firstly I have to apologize for the length of time that I have been away from my blog! There has been a few reasons why but the main ones are that my son moved out of home to go and study and it has taken me a few months to accept that he is now independent and on his own. Pathetic, I know but it has been really hard for me and of course my creative side has suffered because of it.

However, I have been working on a few different projects which I will be sharing with you in the next while and I am happy to say that I am back with avenges and ready to craft the hours away.

I have been working on my Christmas cards, some Sweet treat dispensers as gifts, Christmas ornaments and an awesome 3D train set, which I am so excited about. I have put together the body of the trains but still need to decorate it. But I cannot wait to show you all the outcome so I will be posting these in the next two days.

But for now its sorry I was gone so long and to give you sneek preview of what the next few posts will be about.

So please come back

Cards

I have been really busy with two baby albums which I have just finished so will upload pictures once I have taken photos. But in the meantime I have made quite a few birthday cards recently.

These two I made using the new Couture Creations 3 in 1 sets - which are made up of an embossing folder, stamp set and matching dies. This set is called "Ornate Frame". The embossing folder is the frame that you emboss as is the stamp set. The butterfiles are also stamps and the dies.

This card is also made from the Couture Creattions 3 in 1 sets but its a different set and I cannot remember this ones name but I think is is Lacey Frame or something like that.

This beach themed card is one of the sets I bought from SVG Cuts and comes with three other cards.

This is a triple easle card and the tutorial on how to make these is on Splitcoaststampers.

I have discovered this technique on the internet as well and it is called "Punch art" The car is made up of punches and dies and it is heaps of fun to make. I have used the tri-shutter card base to make up this card and it was for my nephew who has just turned 10!!Because there is no space to right on I have made an additional pocket on the back of the card and wrote on a tag which is inserted into the pocket

I have not given any description of materials that I have used - should anybody be interested then leave a comment and will come back to you

Hope I have inspired somebody to make a homemade card for a friend or a loved one. Handmade art is never perfect and that is what is so special about making and receiving a handmade item.

Get Well Soon

I have an Aunt and a good friend in hospital both having operations this week so I have made them both a card using a medical svg range bought recently.

Decided on a Center step style card and the one I added crutches as my Aunt is having a knee replacement operation and the other friend is having a bladder op.

I have used washi tape on the bottom of both cards instead of ribbon due to having to post internationally.

Hope you like what you see

Some new Birthday cards

I had a few Birthdays that I needed to make cards for this month and this is what I came up with:

It was my friend, Desiree"s Birthday last week but she is still grieving the loss of her Dad so I wanted to make her a card that not wished her a happy birthday but also has a very peaceful feel to the card. I got the idea from the Splitcoaststampers website and its called a Triple Easel Card.

Another birthday card for my friend, Leoni that is mad about cats just like me and she has a new kitten in the house named Neo so I decided to do a cat themed birthday card for her. Its called a Window layer card also from the Splitcoaststampers website and I added an additional pocket in the back of the card to put a tag in for a message. Love the idea but there is no where to right a message on the card except the back.

This was a first that I had heard about Monster High. This was for a friends daughter that turned 9 a few days ago. Monster High is her new fad so I decided to work with this as a theme. Found the logo on Google Images and cut it out with my Electronic cutter. Its a center step card and one of my favorite designs for a card at the moment and then blinged it up with a glitter brad. Embossed the Happy Birthday with silver embossing powder and added some washi tape.

This is another Window layer frame card

Hope I have inspired somebody to try a new style of card

Thanx for looking and do come back and visit with me again

New Arrivals

Good day all, I have two family members back home that are having babies and I made them baby albums as a present so I decided to make matching cards so this is what I came up with. I saw the idea a few months ago on Splitcoaststampers and I have changed it slightly.

Both are side step cards and its meant to look like the chest of drawers for the babies clothes. Because it has to be posted internationally I could not bulk the card up by adding clothes hanging out the drawers or a teddy bear.

Enjoy and please come back again
