Greetings

Good evening, Although I have not been doing any posts for the last few days I have been very busy loading pages and photos of projects to the blog. Click on the headings on the left hand side and stroll through the challenges that I have done for the Australian Swap group that I belong to and also through Baby Albums and a Pregnancy album. I will be loading more stuff as I get the time so please pop back in. If you like what you see and even if you dont I would love to have some feedback!! Thank you

Birthday cards

These are all different Birthday cards made recently for friends and family

Cupcake stand and Thank you teabag holders

In my previous post I showed you the 21st Tea Party Invites that I made for a friends daughter. In the latest Docrafts Creativity magazine there is a stunning cupcake stand with templates which I looovvvveed and had to try. So I got thinking and what is a Tea Party without a CUPCAKE STAND? For the first time making something like this I am very happy with the outcome - Sure hope Cheyenne is going to love it!!

Once again everything was cut out with my Cricut Expression . Love my Cricut and I would be lost with out it.

Sticking to the theme of the Invites - the paper is also from the Grace Taylor Vintage Collection and I tried to stick to the same colour tones however the roses I made a few shades lighter to make sure that it was not the center of attention when looking at it. The lace border is also a SVG File and the 3D cupcake on the top of the stand is from the "Happy Birthday to you" set at SVG Cuts.

Moving on to the Thank you gifts for the Tea Party:

I am an online  member of "Splitcoaststampers" in USA and I also get alot of my inspiration and ideas from the stunning projects uploaded to the Gallery, There is also a weekly tutorial that their send by email to all the members. Probable about 1 year ago or so there was a tutorial on "How to make a Tea Bag Holder" for a gift and I figured this would be appropriate for the Tea Party. This is what I came up with:

Happy Birthday Cheyenne, May your day be as special as you are!!

See ya!!

21st Birthday Party

A dear friend of mine's daughter is turning 21 soon and her  idea for a 21st Birthday Party with her University friends is a good old fashioned Tea Party. I offered to create her invitations and wanted to keep true to her personality and this is what I came up with. I must be honest and say that the inspiration came from a picture I found on Pinterest and I tried to make it my own. So here goes:

The tea pot template I  found on Pinterest but for the life of me I cannot remember which blog it was linked to - I do have the SVG FILE on my computer. So should anybody be interested in obtaining the template then email me and I will forward on to you.

The range of papers is from the Grace Taylor Vintage Collection with matching card stock as the base and lid. I have used my Cricut Expression to cut out the pieces to make up the Teapot card, flourish and the bases of the Mini prima type roses. The roses are handmade by myself and the leaves are from the Cuttlebug Quilled Chrysanthemum Kit.

The label with "You're Invited" is from the Couture Creations and all the inking is Tim Holtz distress ink.
I also used embossing powder and tiny micro beads to enhance the tip of the lid to make it appear rounded. I discovered this technique a few months back and really enjoy the end result!

So that is what I came up with - hope you like and I would love to hear what you think of them.

See ya!!
